Some days, I emanate shea butter, vanilla and favor. Other days, I’m a hot mess. Both days, I write – and it feels pretty darn good.
I’m a communicator, a Believer, a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) and a real-time work in progress fueled by faith and wellness. Since completing my 200-hour training at Reflections Yoga Center, I’ve continued to pursue my passions in yoga, including trauma-informed instruction and holding space for communities of color. Today, through mindful movement and creative expression, I live to help women who are “somebody to everybody” become everything to themselves.
Naturally, I’m my first student.
shea butter + sass. is a brave space for me. There’s no “deep work” happening here. In fact, this project is intentionally anti in that way. Everything about it – from its content to its layout – is frayed, raw, playful and wildly cathartic for a recovering perfectionist like me. It’s an act of obedience — and a handy space for class updates, yoga tips, and the like.
